Teams have their own unique structure and way of doing things and, like individuals, they can become stuck in the paradigm of "this is our way and the only way".
Coaching can help teams review where they are now, where they want to be and look at the strategies and actions they need to take to get there. This may involve changing beliefs about their role in the organisation or how they communicate internally and externally. It might include working with individuals on their roles and attitudes which they may wish to change. Team working comes down to good rapport, trust and communications as well as the right mix of skills.
Team coaching is motivating and can improve the performance and commitment of those involved. Team coaching helps individual members explore their key strengths, it encourages them to take responsibility for their actions and how they can respond to situations more effectively. Anne also uses appreciative inquiry techniques to help teams focus on what works and what they are doing when the team is working well together.
Whether your team is a volunteer Board of Directors, a senior management team or staff team, I can help improve communication and performance. Contact me to discuss how team coaching can have a positive impact on your team and what issues you think would be helpful to address.
